CABELA’S PROJECT
HEAVY TIMBER FRAMING, CONSTRUCTION
Cabela’s is a specialty retailer for outdoor recreation merchandise located in Abbotsford, BC. The main Cabela’s structure is a concrete tilt up with steel beams and open web steel joists. Seagate was responsible for the low roof framing over entryways, the main entrance roof structure, and high roof framing. Western Archrib supplied pre-fabricated glulam and steel connections, as well as the T&G roof deck over the main entrance, which the Seagate team installed. Our team also assembled trusses on site and installed all heavy timber members.
Alliance Truss supplied the pre-manufactured roof trusses. We installed all trusses, applied OSB sheathing to all roof surfaces, framed overhangs and site framed the high roof dog houses/dormers.
