Under Armour Headquarters
Project DetailsThis state-of-the-art building consists of 5 storeys of Glulam Post & Beam construction with CLT floors. Including some massive mass timber components and incorporating more than 8990 cubic meters or more than (14 million pounds) of timber and hardware, this new facility serves as a cornerstone to excellence, sustainability, and cutting-edge design.
Seagate managed the full turn-key supply and installation of more than 300,000 sq. ft. of mass timber in this incredible building. Working closely with our partners at Whiting-Turner (General Contractors), Binderholz, and Aspect Engineers through a very detailed pre-construction phase, allowed for us to be able to install the entirety of the mass timber structure is just over 5 months from first column to final CLT roof panel on site even through the winter months. The use of mass timber made it possible to use a shallow foundation system, yielding significant construction savings on the project overall and the finished product will be a stunning structure featuring many other sustainable design features, including geothermal heating and cooling, rainwater harvesting, a landscaped roof, solar panels, sunshades, and a premium HVAC system with energy recovery. The building aims to achieve LEED v4 Platinum Certification, net zero energy operations, and the WELL Building Standard.
